AUDITIONS
From stage to PIT to behind the scenes, all productions will hold auditions for students to participate. Auditions are an important part of the production. Aside from the necessity of allowing staff to select the right students for the show as a whole (we don't cast parts, we cast shows), it allows students to showcase their talents, improvements, skills, and preparation.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be a MANDATORY Cast & Crew meeting Sept 12, 2024 @6pm in the Auditorium. Parents/Guardians AND Students MUST ATTEND.
Rehearsals will be largely Monday through Thursday 6:00 - 8:30/9:00pm. No weekend or Friday rehearsals outside of one Saturday set build. For the first 3-4 weeks of rehearsal students will only be called 2-3 days a week, depending on their role. Please look at the cast/crew calendars on the Cast/Crew page.
AUDITIONS - HEAD OVER HEELS:
Students will be asked to sing, dance, and read from the script. Auditions can be SCARY! We'll never ask you to do something alone unless you're comfortable. While most students will opt to audition as a solo, you can also do your signing audition with a friend, in a group, or alone with just the directing staff (no audience). Dance auditions are done in small groups (we learn it together as a group) and scene reads are done in groups of three or more! We want everyone to be comfortable - auditions are a necessary part of the process, but they don't have to be the worst!
