SLHS Theatre Parent Booster Club - POPS

The POPS (Parents of Performing Students) Booster Organization was established in 1999 to encourage and support the SLHS Theatre program. Specifically, POPS supports SLHS Theatre through fundraising and contributions of time and labor. This organization greatly benefits the theatre program as a whole, and involvement is open to any parent. Any parent of a student involved with the theatre production is automatically a member of POPS. Others interested in helping POPS are eligible to volunteer for various activities. Board Member elections are held every Spring.

POPS Boosters are involved in all of the following:

Organizing fundraising events                                                    Advertising & publicitiy
Chaperoning Trips                                                                     Costuming
Awarding annual theatre scholarships                                         Set Construction
Assisting prior to, during, and after productions                         Providing food/assistance for theatre
Planning and organizing Gala                                                                 dress rehearsals, etc.

To maintain a tradition of excellence, SLHS Theatre relies on the supportive parents of our dedicated students. Parents are always invited to participate and get involved; their contribution directly affects the success of each child. Simply put, we could not offer the type of program we do without the parent contributions! Ask any parent that has volunteered, and they will say that it is rewarding both for themselves and for their kids.
